Blender plugin available on all platforms

Last updated on by .

Our Blender plugin is now available for all platforms. This means you can use it in Windows, MacOSX and Linux, with Blender 2.67 or newer. After installing it, you will be able to send renders to our farm and check their status, all from Blender’s interface. The plugin handles the file upload to our farm in a secure way, and launches the render automatically. It also displays a list of your recent jobs, and you can click in the list to open the job page and download the files.

Here’s a list of features for the plugin:

  • One click uploads the file and launches the job
  • Automatically handles packing the file, including linked libraries and video textures
  • Differential upload will only upload the changed parts of the file. So if you send the project, then make a change and resend it, the second (and subsequent) upload will take a lot less time
  • Automatically detects if project needs to be baked on RenderStreet
  • Displays the jobs progress from within Blender

To learn more, please check the plugin page in your job management interface.

Have any suggestions on how we can improve it? Or any other feedback? Let me know in the comments.
