Added LuxRender 1.2 support

Last updated on by .

We promised LuxRender support since we first launched our closed beta. It’s been a long time since then, and I am proud to say that today we just released beta support for LuxRender 1.2. Since this is the first time we implement support for LuxRender, we thought it would be best to start with the latest version anyway.

At this point, the Lux support is considered beta grade, and we are looking at getting some testes who have projects to render using this render engine. We will provide additional credits for free testing the Lux support.

The way this works on our render farm is by uploading your Blender project set to render with Lux. I realize this is not optimal for people using other modelling programs, but decided to go this way in order to streamline the experience of  our users. Right now, even when using Lux, you still have to upload a blend file, just as for any other render engine.

Please test it out and let me know how you like it in the comments.
