We have just released an all-new version of the Blender render submission plug-in for our farm. The update brings significant changes in the project asset collection feature, plus other features you have asked for:
- An entirely new, better method of collecting base assets
- It now collects all existing caches (the Blender ones if they are already baked, plus Alembic, MDD, PC2, VDB ones)
- It also collects IES light assets
- It has the option to launch a split render for still images directly
- It offers the ability to select the plan (RenderStreet One or on-demand) to be used for launching the render
- It offers the ability to select the rendering device to be used on RenderStreet for the render (CPU/GPU)
- It has an ‘upload only’ option if you just want to upload the project without starting a render
The RenderStreet plug-in for Blender remains the easiest, most convenient way of sending jobs to our farm. The new version supports project sizes up to 10 GB (including all assets). We encourage all of you to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible. You can download it from your RenderStreet account.
Happy rendering!
